Marvel's Iron Fist ist eine US-amerikanische Web-Fernsehserie, entwickelt von Scott Buck, basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Comicharakter Iron Fist der Marvel Comics. Die Serie ist im sogenannten Marvel Cinematic Universe angesiedelt und erzählt die Geschichte des verschollenen Waisenkindes Danny Rand, welcher nach fünfzehn Jahren wieder in seine Heimat New York City zurückkehrt. Die Serie wurde von den Marvel Studios in Zusammenarbeit mit ABC Studios entwickelt und wird ab dem 17. März 2017 erstmals auf Netflix ausgestrahlt. Als Teil des sogenannten Defenders-Universum wird die Serie in die Crossover-Serie Marvel's The Defenders münden. 

Für die erste Staffel bestellte der Online-Anbieter Netflix 13 Episoden. In den Hauptrollen werden Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey und Rosario Dawson zu sehen sein.

Am 22. Juli 2017 wurde die Serie um eine Zweite Staffel verlängert, zudem wurde bekannt, das Simon Missick ihre Rolle in der Serie fortsetzen wird. Scott Buck wird die Serie nach der Ersten Staffel nicht mehr als Showrunner betreuen, seinen Posten übernimmt Raven Metzner. Die Zweite Staffel wird am 7. September 2018 anlaufen. Die Staffel wird Zehn Episoden umfassen. Am 12. Oktober 2018 wurde die Serie abgesetzt.

  • Im Januar 2015 wurde die Serie offiziell mit Marvel's Iron Fist betitelt.
  • Laut Bleending Cool könnte Benedict Cumberbatch als Doctor Strange einen ersten Auftritt in der Serie haben.
  • Ryan Philippe befand sich mit Marvel und Netflix in Verhandlungen um eine Rolle. Es könnte sich dabei um die von Iron Fist handeln.
  • In der Comicvorlage spielen mystische Elemente eine sehr wichtige Rolle und Marvel wisse angeblich nicht genau, wie diese am besten in ihr Film- und Serienuniversum übertragen werden sollen. Vor allem Daredevil hat einen sehr geerdeten Ansatz verfolgt, auch wenn dort bereits übernatürliche Elemente im Hintergrund vorhanden waren.
  • In einem Interview mit IGN vom 19. November 2015 erzählte Joe Quesada, dass die Serie, trotz der anhaltenden Gerüchte über ihre Verwerfung, in Arbeit sei. Dazu verneinte er auch die Gerüchte um einen Iron Fist Netflix-Film. Die Seite Comicbook.com bestätigte am 7. Dezember 2015, dass Scott Buck, welcher vorallem für Serien wie Dexter und Six Feet Under bekannt ist, als Showorunner fungieren soll.
  • Am 28. Januar 2016 gab Scott Reynolds via Twitter bekannt, dass er einer der Drehbuchautoren der Show sein wird. Zudem gab Luke Cage-Darsteller Mike Colter an das ein Darsteller für Danny Rand alias Iron Fist bereits gecastet wurde, er wollte nur nicht sagen um wen es sich handelt.
  • Am 25. Februar 2016 wurde bekannt das Finn Jones die Hauptrolle übernehmen wird.
  • Am 10. März 2016 enthüllte die Seite MCU Exchange, dass weitere Charaktere der Serie Coleen Wing, Joy Meachum und Ward Meachum sein werden.
  • Am 1. April 2016 wurde bekannt, dass Jessica Henwick die Rolle der Coleen Wing übernimmt.
  • Am 11. April 2016 gab Marvel.com bekannt, dass David Wenham die Rolle des Harold Meachum übernehmen wird. Am 19. April 2016 gab die offizielle Twitter-Seite von Iron Fist bekannt, dass Jessica Stroup und Tom Perlphrey die Rollen von Joy und Ward Meachum übernehmen werden.
  • Die Dreharbeiten zur ersten Staffel endeten am 8. Oktober 2016
  • Am 9. Oktober 2016 gab Marvel auf der New York Comic Con bekannt, dass Rosario Dawson und Wai Ching ihre Rollen Claire Temple und Gao aus Marvel's Daredevil fortführen werden.
